Cultural Program

Terry Gifford, founder of SWAN is available for public speaking engagements.  

The cultural program "Letters from Afghanistan" is a multimedia presentation that combines selections from the book Lucy Shook's Letters from Afghanistan with actual home movie footage and music from Shooks five years stay in Afghanistan, where she worked for US/AID.   The program is 45 minutes long and has been presented to libraries, bookstores, universities, schools, book clubs and churches.  It brings to light the plight of villagers in developing countries.
